Mazda DOES NOT want to produce low cost cars for low cost income earners
From this year onwards Mazda has a unique proposition for ASEAN car buyers. Whilst the competitors are looking at cheaper low cost cars with minimal quality and enough features to keep buyers adequately happy, Mazda Japan is on a directive from their top management to deliver a well priced car with high quality and shared technology with its more expensive vehicles for ASEAN buyers. This is Mazda’s direction to move further ahead of its Japanese rivals and closer to its European rivals. Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen are in its sights and the journey can already be seen with the all new CX-5.
