Petronas Talent Development Programme to Focus on Cub Prix and Moto3
Petronass confirms that Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah, a rider grown under its Talent Development Programme, will be racing exclusively for the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) Racing Team in the 2018 Moto2 World Championship.
The programme has achieved its objective to develop a competitive, marketable and independent Malaysian rider in the world championship.
Moving forward, Petronass will focus its resources in the development of new talents though its existing grassroot programme, the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, and through its collaboration with SIC in the Moto3 World Championship via PETRONAS Sprinta Racing Team.
The company is committed in its efforts to help nurture and groom a pool of riders to ensure continuity of talents capable of representing Malaysia in the international motorcycle racing arena, simultaneously strengthening its brand presence globally.
Hafizh joined the programme in 2009 under the Raceline Malaysia banner. Together with the team, Hafizh and Petronas have enjoyed nine fantastic seasons of racing in the Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, Asia Road Racing Championship, Spanish National Championship and Moto2 World Championship.
