Have we missed the Mercedes B-Class?

Well…..not really as it never made a great impact in the Malaysian market, just like the VW Golf Plus and the BMW 2-Series Tourer. The all new Mercedes B-Class is expected in 2019 and it will share the MFA platform with the soon to be launched all new A-Class. Despite its lack of popularity in Malaysia, the B-Class is a very respected product in Europe.

The all new B-Class will adopt design cues from the upcoming A-Class such as slimmer LED headlamps. Bigger changes are due beneath the skin as the new platform opens up the possibility of plug-in hybrid technology for the first time, while new petrol and diesel engines will join the range.

The B-Class will arrive in Malaysia to rival the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer which is also a disappointing seller. Buyers for this segment seem to be drawn more to Japanese models.
