Liqui Moly Remains Official Partner of TCR Asia

WSC Asia Limited in pleased to announce that German oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY will remain as an official partner of the TCR Asia Series for the 2018 season, the fourth season of the popular touring car concept in Asia which gets underway in Malaysia on April 1 with the first two rounds of the ten round calendar.

“We have accompanied the TCR racing series from the start, since it began in 2015,” says Peter Baumann, Marketing Manager at LIQUI MOLY. “Under the umbrella of the global racing calendar, regional and national offshoots of the series were created – including TCR Asia. This localization concept has shown itself to be very successful. Our ongoing involvement shows how strongly we are rooted in motorsports.”

In TCR Asia, the oil and additive specialist have not just been a partner of the Series, but in both 2016 and 2017, they enjoyed success in the Team’s and Driver’s Championships with LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler, first with Andy Yan and last season with Thailand’s Kantadhee Kusiri.

“We’re proud to have such an iconic partner as LIQUI MOLY continuing to support the TCR Asia Series,” WSC Asia Limited’s David Sonenscher admitted. “They have been a very strong supporter of the TCR concept since it’s inception, and very supportive of the growth of the category in Asia.

“We have another strong program planned for 2018, with a return to Malaysia, Thailand and China, whilst we will also head back to South Korea to work alongside TCR Korea as they get their championship underway. In addition we will also support our teams in contesting the inaugural SIC888 endurance event at Shanghai in October, an event for which the TCR model is ideally suited.

“2018 will again see us appearing on television screens all over the world, with an increased push into China with dedicated Chinese media, whilst our use of social media platforms in both English and Chinese will also see us gain further reach than ever before.”

The 2018 TCR Asia Series – the fourth season of the TCR regional championship – gets underway in Malaysia on March 28 with pre-season testing ahead of the first two rounds of the season on April 1.
