312k BMW’s recalled in England…….is yours included?

BMW in Englnd has announced safety checks on more than 312,000 cars in the country to eliminate the risk they could stall while driving at speed, cutting off all the electrics. The official recall now affects older models registered in England and BMW is writing to the owners of cars affected. The reasons why we are highlighting this issue is because many BMW’s from England end up in Malaysia (imported in by recon car dealers).

This means, BMW AG will not have records of who the Malaysian owners are and YOU could be driving a BMW with an electrical malfunction.

The fault would shut down all lighting systems, including the hazard warning lights, brake lights and headlights, and leave cars as good as invisible in the dark. Owners reported experiencing the issue in the outside lane of highways while driving at night.

Affected cars include BMW 1-series, 3-series, Z4 and X1 petrol and diesel models produced between March 2007 and September 2011.
