Proton Introduces Updated Ertiga Xtra
The closing ceremony of the Proton 1-Tank Adventure saw the launch of the new Proton Ertiga Xtra, which is available in three variants; Executive MT, Executive AT and Premium AT.
As the name suggests, the Ertiga Xtra now comes with an extra equipment which is a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, DVD player, smartphone link and GPS navigation system.
While the exterior is left untouched, the interior has been spruced up with a darker shade for the fabric seat cover, replacing the beige interior on the previous version. Other equipment such as second-row air conditioner vents and dual power sockets are retained.
The Ertiga Xtra continues to be powered by the 1.4-liter four-cylinder VVT engine with 91 hp and 130 Nm of torque. The petrol mill is mated with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of safety, the six-seater MPV comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD as well as ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Available in Ruby Red, Carnelian Brown, Metal Grey and Cotton White, the Ertiga Xtra is priced at RM56,773 for the Executive MT variant, RM59,525 for the Executive AT and RM62,278 for the Premium AT.
