New Proton 4S Outlet Opens in Sungai Petani
Proton’s exercise to revamp its dealer network continues with the opening of an upgraded 4S centre in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Operated by Mercu Usaha Mesra Corporation Sdn Bhd which has been in operation since 2005, the renovated outlet costs approximately RM1 million, with a built up area of 2,869 square meters.
This includes a service area equipped with 14 bays (12 previously) and 11 hoists (7 previously) as well as a showroom area that could accommodate up to 10 vehicles.
Like other Proton outlets, this 4S centre has a coffee area, free Wifi, laptop charging area as well as a kid’s corner. There is also a parking lot for up to 80 customers.
According to Allan Wong Keng Seng, Managing Director of Mercu Usaha Mesra Corporation Sdn Bhd, the investment to upgrade is worthwhile, as nowadays customers’ expectations of shopping for a product has changed. The upgraded outlet is forecasted to increase sales volume by 70%, and service throughput by 50%.
The Mercu Usaha Mesra 4S Proton outlet is located at No 1, Jalan Batu Lintang off Lencongan Barat, 08000 Sungai Petani, Kedah.
