Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir defends his Volvo S90 purchase
Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir has defended his state government’s purchase of a new Volvo car for his official use.
YB Mukhriz said the purchase was made after trading in 2 older vehicles registered to his office which were not in working order and lying idle. He also defended the purchase by saying that the new Volvo S90 was not too costly, even though it is a plug-in hybrid car as it was locally assembled with a high level of locally sourced parts.
The selling price of the Volvo S90 T8 Twin Engine Inscription is RM368,888 on the road, and the S90 T8 Twin Engine Inscription Plus sells for RM388,888.
