Kia launches the all-new Stonic in Singapore today…….Malaysia?

The all-new Kia Stonic makes its debut on the shores of the lion city with an eye-catching and sporty exterior. Set to become an important model for Kia in one of the newest vehicle segments, the Stonic offers plenty of options for owners looking to personalise, with a wide variety of colourways available for selection. Boasting true European design flair, the car is one of the brand’s most striking to date, yet it is immediately recognisable as a Kia thanks to key signature design elements, such as the ‘tiger-nose’ grille.

Tailored Just for You

Designed in Europe, in collaboration with Kia’s Korean design studio, the Stonic’s body blends sharp horizontal feature lines with softer sculpted surfaces. Personalisation is important to many customers in the SUV segment and Stonic customers will be able to choose from up to 29 distinct colourways with two-tone colour combination options available for both its ‘Targa’-style roof and interior.

The Stonic’s cabin places technology and ergonomics at its heart, offering buyers as much potential for personalisation as the exterior, with a range of vivid interior colour packs. Customers will be spoilt for choice.

 A Responsive Drive

The car’s steering and suspension are designed to offer an exciting drive, with immediate handling responses and a stable ride. The car is fitted as standard with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), ensuring the front-wheel drive Stonic remains enjoyable and inspires confidence to drive in all conditions. Specific functions of VSM include Torque Vectoring by Braking, Straight Line Stability, and Cornering Brake Control.

Compact yet Responsive engine

Each of the Kia Stonic’s of lightweight 1.0-litre T-GDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine comes produces 120 [email protected],000rpm. The engine comes paired with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, maximising driver engagement and efficiency.

Within its compact exterior dimensions, the Stonic’s smart packaging maximises interior space for all occupants. Incredibly versatile and perfect for those with active lifestyles, the Stonic offers class-leading shoulder room and generous leg- and head-room, while the 352-litre (VDA) luggage bay expands as required with a two-step boot floor. A 60:40 split-folding rear seat and adjustable cargo floor easily accommodates tall or bulky items and allows for an array of cargo space options.

The car is built on a strong, safe and lightweight platform and bodyshell, with Advanced High Strength Steel accounting for 51% of materials used. The high-strength body frame ensures driving confidence, passenger comfort and refinement in all conditions. It also has an advanced 6- airbag system, with strategically placed airbags to ensure maximum protection for both drivers and passengers alike.

Packed with Technology

One of the smartest cars in its class, the Stonic provides owners with a range of new chassis and infotainment technologies designed to enhance safety, comfort and convenience. The car comes with Apple CarPlayTM as standard, bringing seamless smartphone functionality to the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. With the integrated reverse camera, rear parking assist system and dynamic guidelines, parking has never been easier. Like its other Kia siblings, the Stonic is available with a broad range of technologies including automatic cruise control and keyless entry.
