Will Opel return to Malaysia?

This would probably be the best option as OPEL is already doing business in Singapore and as we have seen the all new OPEL Zafira MPV is a really good looking product and the New Insignia sedan and Grandland X SUV (pictured below) have handsome looks and are equipped with their new generation 2.0L and 1.2L direct injection turbo engines respectively. But who will undertake the task of re-opening Opel in Malaysia?

Years ago Opel was handled in Malaysia by Europel and their headquarters was located along Jalan Ampang right opposite the previous British Embassy building. They did not fare well and only a handful of cars were sold, the most popular being the Zafira MPV. 2019 might be the year for them to return and prove their worth in ASEAN.
