Nissan X-Trail facelift can now be booked

The new Nissan X-Trail facelift is now open for booking, ahead of its official launch in April this year. The SUV will be offered in four variants, including a new hybrid guise that is positioned on top of the range.

The X-Trail Hybrid is powered by the MR20DD 2.0-liter Twin CVTC engine that produces 144 PS and 200 Nm of torque, as well as an electric motor that provides an additional 41 PS and 160 Nm. Equipped with the XTronic CVT, fuel economy is rated at 16.1 km/l based on ECE R101 test mode.

Apart from the hybrid, the facelifted X-Trail is also available in 2.5L 4WD, 2.0L 2WD MID and 2.0L 2WD variants, all of which are certified as Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV).

The Hybrid, 2.5L 4WD and 2.0L 2WD MID variants come with Nissan Intelligent Mobility advanced
safety technologies that include the following features:

  • Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (FCW)*2.5L 4WD & 2.0L Hybrid only
  • Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (FEB)*
  • Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)*
  • High Beam Assist (HBA)*
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

  • Intelligent Around View Monitor (I-AVM) with Moving Object Detection (I-MOD)
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
  • Motion Activated Power Tailgate

In addition to Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the top three variants are also equipped with six airbags, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold function, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and ISOFIX.

Exterior-wise, the X-Trail gets a new signature ‘V-Motion’ front grille design, revised signature LED bomerang daytime running lights and headlights as well as smoked LED boomerang tail lamps. It is available in five colours, namely Brilliant White, Tungsten Silver, Titanium Olive, Diamond Black and the new Imperial Umber.

Inside, you’ll find a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto ready, flat bottom multifunction steering wheel, dual power leather seats, leatherette dashboard and knee pads, and a 5-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display.

In conjunction with the pre-launch, the new X-Trail facelift also comes with a 2-year or 40,000km Periodic Maintenance Service. Additionally, the first 500 registered vehicles will also receive an exclusive gift worth RM488. Official deliveries are scheduled to commence in April.
