Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV Tyres Now in Malaysia
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV has just been launched in Malaysia. These are high-performance tyres built for heavier crossovers and SUVs, as the name suggests.
Michelin claim these tyres deliver better performance than their competitors, with significantly shorter braking distances in both wet and dry conditions. The MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 SUV sports a new asymmetrical groove design that rigidifies the tread pattern and provides excellent grip during dynamic cornering. A hybrid belt made of aramid and nylon also provides dynamic steering responsiveness and driving precision with the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 SUV.
They also claim these tyres last 13,000km longer than competitors thanks to rigid tread blocks and a high-density double casing ply.
The tyres they tested against were:
- Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport
- Continental Sportcontact 5 SUV
- Goodyear Efficient Grip SUV
- Dunlop SportMaxx RT2 SUV (not listed on local website)
- Hankook Ventus Prime2 (not listed on local website)
- Pirelli Scorpion Verde (no local website)
They were all tested in 235/60 R18.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV can be purchased and installed at all TYREPLUS and all Michelin authorised dealers across the nation. The press release indicates that 39 sizes are available with up to 23″ rim sizes, but the website only shows 27 sizes up to 21″ rim sizes.
Rim protectors are also available on all tyre sizes supported.
