2016 Hyundai Tucson Awarded “Best Used Cars for Teens” for Small SUVs

In addition to awarding the 2019 Hyundai Accent and 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe the “Best New Cars for Teens”, the U.S. News & World Report also included the 2016 Hyundai Tucson in the “Best Used Cars for Teens” list.

To be included in the list, a vehicle must be from the 2014 through 2016 model years and have the best combination of dependability and safety ratings, ownership costs, positive reviews from critics when the vehicles were new, and available technology that can help prevent crashes or lessen their severity.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson offered optional advanced safety technologies such as Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Backup Warning Sensors and a standard rearview camera.

When launched, the Tucson was the only vehicle in the small SUV category to receive good ratings for both driver and passenger in the latest Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) small-overlap crash test ratings.
