All-New Land Rover Defender Premiers at Frankfurt ’19

After years of development and testing, Land Rover has introduced an all-new, thoroughly modernised Defender. This reimagining of the iconic rugged off-roader was revealed today at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Here’s an overview of the new Defender while we wait for the official press release to be… well… released. It ditches the body-on-frame construction for a monocoque chassis, which Land Rover says is more rigid.

Two body types

  • ’90’ 3-door – coil spring, air optional
  • ‘110’ 5-door – air suspension standard
