Nissan Vehicles Cheaper by Up to 14.6% with Rebates
Edaran Tan Chong Motor have announced revised prices of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia. On top of the sales tax discount on CKD (100%) and CBU (50%) vehicles, ETCM are also introducing sizeable cash rebates under the ReMarkable Car Offers (RMCO) marketing slogan. The combination of these two means that many Nissan models are getting slightly higher discounts compared to models from other brands. The Almera, due to be replaced soon, is over RM10,000 cheaper than before brand new.
That’s savings of 14.6%. While other popular models like the Serena S-Hybrid and X-Trail models are cheaper by between 7.3% and 9.7%. Here’s the price list with more details:
Sales tax reduction for Nissan vehicles will remain as such from today until the end of 2020, but no word on how long the additional rebates under the RMCO scheme will last. Perhaps until the end of August 2020, when the actual Recovery Movement Control Order is set to expire? We shall see. Also note that the Almera may be replaced with a new generation model later this year, so the price will change when that happens.

In line with the Government’s new economic stimulus plan ‘Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (PENJANA)’ to revitalise the automotive sector by exempting sales tax on locally assembled (CKD) and fully imported (CBU) passenger vehicles, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) today announced its revised pricing for Nissan vehicles.
Effective 15th June 2020 until 31st December 2020.
