SDAC Launches New Ford Ranger FX4 – RM126,888
The new Ford Ranger FX has been launched in Malaysia at just RM126,888 (on-the-road, without insurance).
Available in Meteor Grey, Absolute Black and Artic White, the Ranger FX4 sets itself apart with Ebony Black mesh grille, bold ‘FX4’ decal and emblem as well as all-terrain tyres that wrap a set of gloss black 18-inch rims.
Inside, the leather seats are embossed with an FX4 logo while the carpet features the same logo. Contrasting red stitching on the gear selector, centre console, instrument panel, door trims, handbrake and steering wheel rounds up the FX4’s sporty interior.
Powering this variant is a 2.2-liter Duratorq turbodiesel engine that churns out 160 PS and 385 Nm. A six-speed automatic transmission is tasked to channel the output through a four-wheel drive system.
In conjunction with the launch, the first 150 customers who purchase the Ranger FX4 will receive accessories worth RM5,398.

Ford Motor Company together with Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, today launched the New Ford RangerFX4 in Malaysia via Facebook and YouTube Live through a product walkaround session. The New Ford Ranger FX4 is the first pickup truck in the country to be launched on both platforms simultaneously.

Turn heads with the distinctive FX4
The New Ford Ranger FX4 has a unique identity with a new design mesh grille in Ebony Black, plus 18-inch gloss black rims wrapped in All-Terrain Tyres. The striking bold ‘FX4’ decal and emblem that is set against its muscular exterior provides even more distinction against the other Ranger variants.
The strong FX4 identity continues inside the cabin with leather-accented seats that are embossed with the striking FX4 logos on the seatbacks. These complement the contrasting red stitching that has been applied to the gear selector, centre console, instrument panel, centre console, door trims, handbrake and the Ranger’s FX4 steering wheel. Special FX4-branded carpet mats finish its interior enhancements, retaining the Ranger’s premium and comfortable car-like interior.
Built for life’s adventures
Designed for customers who want to blend city living with off-the-grid adventures over tough terrain on weekends, the New Ford Ranger FX4 features the proven Duratorq 2.2L turbodiesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, capable of delivering 160 PS and peak torque of 385Nm.
The truck is also packed with a host of smart technologies and safety features including an eight-inch touchscreen display, SYNC® multimedia system with reversing camera,electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4, rain-sensing wipers, the light and nimble Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), daytime running lights and headlights for better visibility. It also comes with two airbags, Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control and Adaptive Load Control.
