Mitsubishi Announces Revised Price List After SST Exemption

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has released its revised price list for two of its models sold here, the Outlander and the ASX. The Triton is missing from the list as it is classified as a commercial vehicle and therefore not eligible for the sales tax exemption.

The Outlander sees a reduction of RM5,126 for the 2.4L variant and RM4,397 for the 2.0L variant, while prices of the ASX 2WD and 4WD have been reduced by RM7,238 and RM8,154, respectively.

Both the Outlander and ASX are locally-assembled (CKD) models and enjoy a 100% sales tax exemption until 31 December. Meanwhile, fully-imported models (CBU) receive a 50% sales tax exemption under the initiative.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, announced new pricelist for the Mitsubishi ASX Compact SUV and Outlander SUV in Malaysia. The new prices are effective immediately until 31 December 2020.

The price reduction is in view of the Malaysian government’s announcement to drop Sales and Service tax (SST) for cars, which sees a 100% sales tax exemption on locally-assembled (CKD) models.

Prices above are quoted on-the-road without insurance for private registration in Peninsular and East Malaysia and not applicable for duty free zones.
