Perodua Tweckbot Up and Running Again

Perodua is resuming its complimentary vehicle inspection service, Tweckbot after several months of interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Customers need not worry as comprehensive health and safety measures will be in place to ensure the safety of the employees and customers.

These include temperature checks and the use of bigger areas for waiting, consultation and vehicle inspection. The stations will also be sanitised twice a day and the number of vehicles limited to slots on a first-come, first-served basis.

Perodua owners can catch up with the Tweckboat team at Tesco Extra Bukit Tinggi Klang this Saturday and Sunday (12 and 13 September), as well as at Tesco Puncak Alam (19 and 20 September) and Tesco Extra Ampang (26 and 27 September).

PRESS RELEASE

After a lull of several months due to the Movement Control Order (MCO), Perodua Tweckbot is resuming operations with comprehensive health and safety measures in place for the protection of its valued customers and staff.

The long-running complimentary vehicle inspection service will be stationed at Tesco Extra Bukit Tinggi Klang this Saturday and Sunday (12 and 13 September) from 9am to 5pm on both days.

“As Malaysia Day nears, we foresee many Malaysians taking vacations or returning to their hometowns. For their safety and peace of mind, it is crucial that their Perodua vehicles are in good working order,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Tweckbot inspects over 50 points on a Perodua vehicle including the engine, transmission, cooling system, brakes, power steering, clutch, tyres, suspension and electrics.

Dato’ Zainal emphasised that comprehensive health and safety measures will be in place and that these will be the new normal operating procedures for Tweckbot moving forward.

All Tweckbot customers will be required to undergo temperature checks and will need to comply with contact tracing protocols as mandated by the government.

Tweckbot stations will incorporate a more spaced-out layout with demarcated areas for waiting, consultation and vehicle inspection to minimise movement, and the entire station will be evacuated and sanitised twice a day.

“Our technicians will wear face shields at all times and every vehicle will be thoroughly sanitised before and after inspection. Physical distancing and the wearing of face masks apply at all times,” Dato’ Zainal said.

He added that for the protection of the public, the number of vehicles inspected has to be limited to slots on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tweckbot will also be at Tesco PuncakAlam from 19-20 September and Tesco Extra Ampang from 26-27 September, also from 9am to 5pm, to offer Perodua owners post-long drive checks.

Customers who inspect their vehicles with Tweckbot will get a 20% discount voucher redeemable for the purchase of selected parts and accessories at any authorised Perodua service centre*.

“Perodua wishes all Malaysians a Happy Malaysia Day as we band together as a nation to continue fighting COVID-19. The battle is not yet won, but we are all in this together and as long as we continue to prioritise safety, we will get through this,” said Dato’ Zainal.
