Flux Gives 50% Off for 3 Month for Its First Anniversary
Flux, the Malaysian car subscription service, is celebrating their first anniversary.
Achievements Thus Far
In that time, the company has achieved quite a number of milestones. These include:
- Having the largest selection of brands to choose from (Really, their key advantage from the start)
- Starting a Subscribe to Own programme to offer Malaysians a new path towards vehicle ownership using a ‘Guaranteed Future Value’ system
- Introducing the Proton X70 into their fleet, their first national car option. All 10 units were reserved within 3 weeks of being made available

To celebrate being operational for a year, Flux is offering a 50% discount on the first 3 months of fees on ALL car subscriptions reserved in October 2020. Here are some disclaimers attached to this promo:
- Only applicable for 24-month and 36-month subscriptions
- Subscription reservations must be made in October 2020
- Approved reservations must have their upfront payments made by 10 November 2020
- Promotion is not valid for Flux Business Class members
- Car swapping feature is not available for those who wish to enjoy 50% off
By our calculation, this equates to a total subscription discount of 6.25% for 2 year subscriptions 4.17% on 3 year subscriptions. Meaning for a 2 year subscription on a Proton X70, you’d be paying RM57,396 instead of RM61,224 over the course of your subscription (RM3,828 saved) and for a 3-year contract, you’d be paying RM75,726 instead of RM79,020 (RM3,294 saved). Given that this discount applies across the board, we’d say the best way to take advantage of this discount it to go for something fancier, like one of their new Maseratis.
Bear in mind, you’re still getting the same benefits from any of Flux’s subscriptions, including not having to pay a downpayment, for insurance, roadtax, maintenance, or wear & tear. You also get their excellent concierge service, 24/7 roadside assistance and you get to choose between 1250km/month and 2000km/month mileage caps.
