Anamika Talwar is Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia’s New MD
Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia (MBSM) has announced the appointment of Anamika Talwar as its new Managing Director effective November 1. She takes over from Mike Ponnaz, who will resume his position as Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services in Hong Kong.
An engineering degree and an MBA holder, Anamika brings with her 20 years of experience in building new businesses and running country operations.
She was previously the Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Singapore, where she was recognized as the “Digital Leader of the Year” by Women in IT Awards Asia in 2019 for introducing paperless digital lending.
Prior to that, Anamika was the regional Head of Strategy, Insurance and Business Development for the Americas region, and the regional Head of Sales & Marketing nad Digital Transformation for the Africa and Asia Pacific region.

Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MBSM) has appointed Anamika Talwar as the new Managing Director, effective November 1. Anamika will replace outgoing Managing Director, Mike Ponnaz, who will take on the role as Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Hong Kong.
Anamika has over two decades of experience comprising building new businesses, running country operations as well as driving growth and innovation. She has previously worked as the regional Head of Strategy, Insurance and Business Development for the Americas region and as the regional Head of Sales & Marketing as well as Digital Transformation for the Africa and Asia Pacific region.

Before joining Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia, Anamika served as the Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Singapore for three years. During her time there, she led the transformation of the customer journey to introduce paperless digital lending and was recognized as the “Digital Leader of the Year” by Women in IT Awards Asia in 2019. In her leadership, the business received several awards for digital innovation and was recognized as the “Best Luxury Car Financing Specialist”. Anamika has a degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and an MBA from Carnegie Melon University
