Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT Enters Malaysian Market At RM81,900

Is the V-Strom 650XT too small for you? Then you might want to take a look at this

Launched alongside the Hayabusa is the 2021 Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT, which is positioned on top of the V-Strom 650XT in the Japanese marque’s adventure motorcycle lineup. It is priced at RM81,900 and available in Metallic Oort Gray No.3/Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Brilliant White/Glass Blaze Orange.

Built to tackle the toughest of terrains, the V-Strom 1050XT features an updated, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 1037cc, 90-degree V-twin engine that has been thoroughly updated to meet stringent Euro 5 emissions laws. The mill churns out 107 PS at 8,500 rpm and 101 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, which is sent to the wheel via the six-speed, close-ratio transmission managed by the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS).

The engine features a new Ride-by-Wire throttle system that is simpler, lighter, and more compact than the previous mechanical throttle. Each cylinder is fed by a larger bore electronic-controlled throttle body (49mm compared to 45mm of the previous model).

The chassis is slender, thanks to the narrow V-twin engine design, fuel tank, and trim seat, which help the rider’s legs reach the ground more easily. At the front, there’s a fully adjustable 43 mm KYB inverted front fork while at the rear, you’ll find a single-shock, link-style suspension that also has rebound-damping force adjustment. In addition, the handlebars have handguards with large damper weights for ergonomic comfort and reduced vibration.

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) is also onboard. It incorporates a slew of electronic systems such as Cruise Control, Motion Track Brake System and Combined Brake System, Hill Hold Control, Slope Dependent Control, Load Dependent Control, Ride-by-Wire, Traction Control (3 modes plus off mode), Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Suzuki Easy Start System, and Low RPM Assist.

For the Malaysian market, the V-Strom 1050XT comes standard with a set of Suzuki genuine aluminium side cases in silver, as well as an array of exclusive equipment such as an aluminium under cowling, accessory bar, LED turn lights, knuckle guards, an adjustable seat and windscreen and a 12V DC socket.

Like the Hayabusa, this model available at Suzuki Big Bike World showrooms across the country and comes with a two-year or 20,000-km factory warranty.
