Honda Malaysia Launches New City Variant Called V-SENSING

Now you can get the Honda SENSING system without having to purchase the RS e:HEV

The Honda City 1.5V is pretty much a perfect choice for those looking to own a no-frills family sedan but one thing it lacks is the Honda SENSING suite of active safety and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Well, that has become a thing of the past with the launch of a new variant called the City V-SENSING.

As its name would suggest, the City V-SENSING is essentially the City 1.5V that comes readily equipped with the Honda SENSING, making it the second variant to offer the feature after the range-topping RS e:HEV. It comprises seven features, namely Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Auto High Beam (AHB).

In addition, the newest member of the City family also gets a seven-inch TFT digital instrument cluster to replace the analogue dials. Elsewhere, the equipment list for the City V-SENSING remains as per the variant it is based on.

Among the features included on the list are full LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, leather seats with ivory highlights, 8-inch audio display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paddle shifters, Remote Engine Start and Honda LaneWatch.

The City V-SENSING is priced at RM90,212.36 (OTR without insurance) after the sales tax exemption, making it RM3,561 more expensive than the regular City 1.5V.

In addition to other standard safety features, the City V-SENSING is packed with a host of driver assistance safety features.
