CBU Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Arrives In Malaysia For RM419,888

The final electric vehicle launch for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia in 2023 is the Mercedes-Benz EQE.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has been pushing hard on the electric front all year. The first of their all-electric vehicle launches was the EQA, which came in March for RM278,201. This was later supplemented by the RM328K EQB in September along with the flagship EQS just shy of RM700K. Today, the EQE 350+ arrives right in the middle at RM420K.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE is more than just an all-electric E-Class. It is, in fact, much heavier and noticeably larger (up to 109mm wider). It is built on the EVA 2 platform, which is similar to the chassis that underpins the EQS.

The EQE is designed to be a sportier sedan than the EQS though. It is powered by a rear-mounted motor with 292hp and 565Nm of torque on tap. This gives it a 0-100km/h time of just 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 210km/h.

The electric range is an impressive 669km thanks to a 90.56kWh battery. The battery takes 8 hours and 15 minutes to fully charge on 11kW AC Charging or 32 mins to charge from 10% to 80% of 170kW DC Fast Charging.

Priced at RM419,888 OTR with 10% sales tax and without insurance, the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ comes in AMG Line specification for Malaysia. That includes 19″ twin-spoke alloy wheels, Digital Light headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Nappa leather sport steering wheel, sports seats in black and space grey synthetic leather and microfibre upholstery.

There is no Hyperscreen on our version of the EQE, but there is an OLED touchscreen, a driver display and a headsup display with MBUX augmented reality navigation. A wireless Qi charging pad, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are featured and sound comes in the form of a Burmester 3D surround system.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia offer the EQE 350 + with a 4-year manufacturer warranty with unlimited mileage. The battery is covered by a 10-year/250,000km warranty. The battery features 10 modules and battery management will be updated over the air to ensure the latest developments are always present throughout the car’s lifecycle.
