Toyo made the second generation of its top-selling performance tyre, the Proxes Sport 2 the centre-piece at their Malaysian dealer and media launch at the cool and serene Awana Hotel.
Well, we already know how well used the private road from the Karak highway turn off to the top of Genting Highlands by road racers and reckless drivers looking for high views on their individual YouTube accounts.
So, it is about time these road daredevils start using proper brakes, suspension and most importantly tyres like the latest Proxes Sport 2 to keep them on the tarmac and not end up on the side of the ravine.
Meanwhile Toyo product marketers from Japan who were at the event said the newest tyre marks an important evolution in terms of innovation and technology.
The new Proxes Sport 2 had been designed using the most modern technologies known in the sector that have made it possible to produce a highly innovative tyre that aspires to become the technological leader in its segment.
Interestingly, Malaysia’s very own ‘Prince of Drift’, Tengku Djan Ley was at the event as he has been the brand ambassador for Toyo Tires Malaysia since April 2021.
The Malaysian market gets a well rounded range of 31 sizes ready for wheels from 18 inches to 20-inches in diameter. So, if you ride on 17 inch wheels and below, looks like you need to look for other Toyo tyres to keep you grounded.
The company says that the new Toyo Proxes Sport 2 will be compatible with a variety of vehicles from the C to F segment, especially those with powerful and torque filled powertrains.
The official selling prices for this Proxes Sport 2 starts from about RM700.00 to RM1,300.00 per tyre and they are available at all good Toyo tyre shops and resellers.
