Will Chevrolet Return To Malaysia With The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse SUV?
With SUVs being all the rage, can the Chevrolet Traverse find sales success?
Well, at this point, it probably is more likely than not right? American automaker, Chevrolet has not really been in the public eye for a long time in Malaysia now despite having some older cars still on the road, and with Ford being so successful and Chery coming back, isn’t it kind of expected for Chevy to come back too?
Obviously, this will not be so simple, but if Chevrolet had to choose one model to return to Malaysia with, it should be, in my humble opinion, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse SUV which has been redesigned from the ground up, and strengthens the brand’s SUV portfolio.
Moreover, Offering bold design with more truck-like proportions, key safety features with families in mind, combined with greater power from an all-new engine. The new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is positioned to lead in its highly competitive segment and entice more customers with the new off-road capable Z71 model.
The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse comes in four trim levels, namely the LS, LT, Z71 and RS, all of which offer unique design and greater content choices, with all-new and enhanced safety features and are powered by an all-new 2.5L turbocharged engine making around 315hp and about 430Nm of torque.
On top of that, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse also comes with an extensive list of standard kit including Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Rear Park Assist, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and more.
All 2024 Chevrolet Traverse models also come with an updated Buckle to Drive feature that requires the front-seat passenger and driver to be buckled before driving, and Teen Driver via the MyChevy app. Rear Seat Belt Reminder is also new, which alerts the driver if second or third row passengers have taken off their seat belt.
Framed by an all-new, more purposeful silhouette, the styling of the redesigned 2024 Chevrolet Traverse balances crossover and pickup truck-inspired design elements to give the vehicle a rugged, ready-for-anything presence while a planted stance, with wheels pushed to the corners and strong shoulders add to the commanding presence.
On the inside, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse features a best-in-class standard 17.7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen, more than two times larger than the largest available screen in the previous model as well as wireless phone charging and Wi-Fi Hotspot are also available, along with six USB ports are standard.
The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will be available early 2024 but it remains to be seen if the brand will offer the model in Malaysia to kick start its comeback. I do hope the brand tries to make a comeback with this SUV in Malaysia though, what about you?
