EMOS And Kawasaki Celebrate Triple Threat Milestone Achievement

Kawasaki and EMOS achieved three separate achievements at once proving its prowess

Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), has officially launched its second 4S center, Kawasaki Setapak.

The flagship 4S centre, known as the Kawasaki All Star, offers a comprehensive range of the brand’s motorcycle models, from the lowest to the highest cc models. All the brand’s All Stars adhere to the design and construction standards of its Plazas in Japan, placing emphasis on product display and visual merchandising.

Moreover, Kawasaki Setapak is fully owned and managed by Eang Chun Motor Sdn Bhd, a partner of Modenas for the past 23 years. In 2022, Eang Chun officially became an authorised 4S dealer for the brand. With a stellar reputation and a crucial role in building the brand, Eang Chun remains one of the top dealers for both brands in Malaysia.

The grand opening drew a crowd of 700 people and featured various activities such as test rides, safety riding demonstrations by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), a photobooth, lucky draw, and more.

Modenas also achieved another milestone that day, securing a five-star rating from the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) for 11 of its models as part of the Malaysian Motorcycle Assessment Programme (MyMAP). This makes Modenas the manufacturer with the greatest number of 5-star ratings with a total of 13 models overall.

On top of that, at the event, the company also unveiled the new C&G 2024 for its Completely Built-Up (CBU) model, the Kawasaki Z900RS, marking the debut of the Yellow Ball Edition in the Malaysian market. Eang Chun Motor presided over the handover ceremony, officially presenting the model year 2024 model to its first customer on that day.

The 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS “Yellow Ball” Edition, a retro motorcycle that premiered in Japan earlier in the year, is now available in Malaysia. Enhancing its retro appeal is the original Z1 ‘900’ badge on the side covers, paying homage to the Z1 heritage.

The distinctive yellow and black paint job, along with the standard Z900RS features like ABS, Kawasaki traction control and the 948cc Inline-four engine making 82.0 kW of power and 98.5Nm of torque, maintains the model’s specifications. Key components such as suspension, brakes, and wheels also remain unchanged from the standard model.
