0R Engineering Race Cars Catch Fire While Being Transported To Sepang
Thankfully no one was harmed when these R Engineering race cars combusted
Another day, another fire, quite literally. This time around, a bunch of race cars from R Engineering have caught fire while being transported to Sepang and while the cause of the fire remains unclear for now, it has been confirmed that nobody was harmed and it was just the cars that were burned to a crisp. Well, this is an expensive oopsie indeed.
Unless, of course, it was intentional. Perhaps a rival team decided R Engineering was looking a bit too good on the track and needed to put an end to their fantastic run. In case it wasn’t clear, I am, once again, joking. Surely this is simply just a case of bad luck and I sincerely hope nobody is that petty to set a rival team’s entire fleet on fire just to secure victory.
Moreover, R Engineering also put out a statement saying, “First and foremost, we’d like to express our sincere gratitude for the numerous wishes and messages of care and concern received from our partners and friends regarding the unfortunate incident along the PLUS highway this morning.”
“Most importantly, we are grateful that no individuals were harmed or injured during the incident. We have reached out to all affected parties and wish to assure everyone that there will be a thorough investigation into this matter.” The statement continued.
On top of that, R Engineering also stated, “We understand that many questions have arisen from this incident. As the case has been handed over to the relevant authorities, we will provide updates in due course. We kindly ask for your understanding to refrain from any speculation while investigations are ongoing.”
“Once again, thank you all for your messages of concern. We aim to provide further clarity on this matter in due time. #comebackstronger” R Engineering concluded. Indeed, we hope to see R Engineering come back stronger and hopefully the authorities will also be able to come to a definitive conclusion about what happened sooner rather than later.
Clearly we can see from the images that the cars are clearly beyond salvaging and will likely have to be written off, no doubt costing R Engineering greatly. This will likely also affect the timeline and schedule for the group in its upcoming races but hopefully it does not hit the brand too hard as that would be a really sad end to an already bad year for most people.
What do you guys think? Can R Engineering bounce back from this setback and come back stronger than before or will this affect them too much?
