Chery Celebrates Record Breaking Sales In 2023, Still Largest Chinese Car Exporter
Chery sold 1,881,316 vehicles in 2023, and retains the top Chinese passenger car exporter spot for 21 straight years.
Chery has unveiled its outstanding sales performance for the year 2023. With a monthly sales volume of 215,690 units in December, the group achieved an extraordinary “twelve consecutive increases” throughout the year, culminating in historic annual sales of 1,881,316 vehicles. This impressive feat marks a remarkable year-on-year growth of 52.6%, positioning Chery Group as a key player in the global automotive market.
Global Expansion and Export Success
A standout achievement for Chery in 2023 was the annual export of vehicles, reaching an impressive 937,148 units. This represents a phenomenal year-on-year increase of 101.1%, solidifying Chery’s position as China’s top passenger car exporter for 21 consecutive years. The group’s global automotive user base now exceeds 13 million, with 3.35 million users located overseas, showcasing Chery’s successful expansion into international markets.
Innovation in Product Lineup
Chery’s success can be attributed to its strategic focus on different automotive segments, introducing innovative products that cater to evolving consumer needs. The introduction of cutting-edge models such as the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid, Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid, and the eQ series, alongside established models like the Tiggo 8 series, Tiggo 7 series, and Arrizo 8, has resulted in a comprehensive lineup spanning both “New Energy and Conventional Fuel.”
