0Volkswagen Touareg 3rd Gen Coming To Malaysia With Hybrid And Petrol Options
Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Volkswagen Touareg
The latest iteration of the Volkswagen Touareg is out there and soon, it will make its way to Malaysia as well. The SUV can be had in a choice of either fully petrol with an internal combustion engine (ICE) or as a hybrid. While we don’t know the official price yet, here is what we do know for now.
Not only has Volkswagen updated the looks of the new Touareg, but it has also added tons of technological improvements on the inside. This includes a new Air Care Climatronic two-zone air conditioner as well as background lighting in some models and an overall sleeker, as well as sportier design.
Moreover, the new Volkswagen Touareg also features a new digital innovision cockpit, an electric luggage compartment cover, an electronic power tailgate LED headlights and taillights, a discover pro max navigation system, heated front seats and so much more for you to enjoy.
As far as safety systems go, the new Volkswagen Touareg sports Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking, the brand’s famous Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist as well as Dynamic Road Sign Display, which will go a long way in helping drivers identify road conditions ahead much faster.
Of course, being a hybrid, the new Volkswagen Touareg will likely also be capable of electric only travel for short distances which will be very convenient for those shorter rides such as to work and back or taking the kids to school and so on. This will also help save a ton of money as petrol costs will be astronomically lower too.
On top of that, the top spec Volkswagen Touareg R, which is the hybrid variant, will also come with a special exterior colour and 22-inch wheels. As a paint finish by ‘Volkswagen R,’ the new colour Silicon Gray Matt is also available exclusively for the R eHybrid and R-Line variants.
Lapiz Blue metallic, another traditional R colour is also an option. The personalisation options are extended for all Volkswagen Touareg versions by four new alloy wheels in either 19, 20 or 21-inch inch sizes as well as the new paint finish Chilli Red metallic. Odd style choice, but it could work very well for some.
So what do you guys think? Are you excited to see the new Volkswagen Touareg and will you be seeing it when it finally does land in Malaysia? What would you assume it would cost here too?
