Mitsubishi Xpander & Xpander Cross HEV Models Launched In Thailand
The Mitsubishi Xpander HEV and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross HEV are now being produced in Thailand.
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has introduced the latest additions to its lineup with the global debut and immediate sale of new hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) models for the Xpander and Xpander Cross crossover MPVs in Thailand. Produced at the Laem Chabang Plant of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., these hybrid models mark a significant step in the brand’s commitment to electrification and cutting-edge automotive technologies.
The Xpander, initially unveiled in Indonesia in 2017, seamlessly blends the comfort of an MPV with the bold styling and road performance of an SUV. The series expanded with the addition of the Xpander Cross in 2019, solidifying its global presence. The Xpander series, a key player in Mitsubishi’s global strategy, achieved remarkable success, selling over 130,000 units globally in fiscal year 2022.
Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) Technology
Mitsubishi Motors has integrated its signature electrification and all-wheel control technologies into the newly added HEV models, elevating the Xpander series to new heights. Developed based on the brand’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), the HEV system promises an eco-friendly and exhilarating driving experience unique to electrified vehicles.

- Seven newly developed drive modes cater to EV driving and optimal control based on road conditions.
- EV Priority mode for quiet and eco-friendly driving, Charge mode for battery replenishment, and five modes for road performance in various conditions.
Enhanced Cabin Comfort and Design
- The interior boasts an 8-inch color LCD meter displaying essential HEV information and drive modes.
- Sound absorbing materials ensure a quiet interior, allowing for stress-free conversations during EV driving or engine activation.
Exterior Accent and Badge Details
- “HEV” and “HYBRID EV” badges adorn the front grille, liftgate, and front doors.
- Blue accent color on various exterior elements adds a distinctive look, while new body color options, including White Diamond and Green Bronze Metallic, express the clean character of electrified vehicles.
