BMW Malaysia Launch “Final Edition” 218i Gran Coupe and X3 Models

The BMW 218i Gran Coupe and two X3 models are now available in “Final Edition” guise in Malaysia.

The UKL2 based BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé was a pretty bold offering from BMW Malaysia. It first arrived during the pandemic year with an attractive price, loads of M Performance carbon fibre parts as options and an eye-catching design. It was interesting because it offered frameless windows and 4-door coupé styling but was priced to compete against the Mercedes-Benz A200 Sedan despite having ‘CLA’-like design features. Now it’s time for Malaysians to say goodbye as BMW Malaysia has launched a ‘Final Edition’ for this model along with ‘Final Editions’ of the X3 sDrive20i and X3 xDrive30e. The X3 facelift models arrived in early 2022 and an all new X3 is expected to make its global debut some time this year.

BMW 2 Series 218i Gran Coupé rear exterior

While there is no 2 Series replacement yet, BMW recently showed off a ‘new generation’ 1 Series model. Given how closely related the 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupé are, we would not be surprised if a new 2 Series Gran Coupé is on the horizon.

What’s New With The 218i Gran Coupé

The M Sport Package is thrown in for this Final Edition model and now the car also gets Shadowline with Extended Contents and 18-inch M light alloy wheels Y-spoke 553 M Bicolour on the outside. Inside, the cabin gets upgraded with wireless charging and a 205W 10-speaker HiFi speaker system.

Colour choices for the BMW 218i Gran Coupé Final Edition include Skyscraper Grey, Black Sapphire and Alpine White, while the interior upholstery is available in Leather “Dakota” in Black with Blue highlights.

The model is priced at RM223,800 and the additional BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package which comes with a 5-year Extended Warranty and Service Package is an additional RM10,600

What’s new with the BMW X3 Final Edition Models

Both the X3 sDrive20i and the X3 xDrive30e Final Edition models come with M Lights Shadowline and M high-gloss Shadowline with extended contents. Both also get Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go Function on top of their existing Driving Assistant features as well as wireless charging.

The X3 xDrive30e Final Edition alone gets M Sport brakes in red high-gloss. This model also gets a Heads-Up Display, Parking Assistant Plus and Remote View 3D.

Exterior colour options for both cars are Carbon Black, Alpine White and M Brooklyn Grey. The sDrive20i model gets Leather “Vernasca” in Mocha with Décor stitching and Leather “Vernasca” in Black with Décor Stitching interior options while the xDrive30e gets Leather “Vernasca” in Mocha with Décor stitching and Leather “Vernasca” in Black with Blue stitching.
