Perodua Myvi Driver Thrown Out Of Car In Three-Vehicle Crash At PLUS, Passes Away

This crash should serve as a reminder to always be careful when on the road

Another day, another accident, this time we are dealing with a fatal crash on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) southbound near Senawang which resulted in the death of a 49-year-old man after he was thrown out from his Perodua Myvi. The devastating collision occurred at Kilometer 242 and involved three vehicles, including two lorries.

Initial investigations indicate that the crash happened when a 3-tonne lorry, traveling from the opposite direction, reportedly lost control and skidded across the expressway. The lorry then collided with the victim’s Perodua Myvi. A second vehicle, a 10-tonne lorry carrying concrete, was also involved in the multi-vehicle crash.

Moreover, the force of the crash caused the Myvi driver to be violently thrown from his vehicle. The man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health. Authorities confirmed that the victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Let this be a reminder to always buckle up, dear readers.

Emergency services responded swiftly after receiving an emergency call at 11:37 AM and the Senawang Fire and Rescue Department (BBP), led by Senior Operations Commander PKPgB Mohd Narul Ikram bin Mohd Nor, arrived on-site with a team of seven firefighters utilizing FRT (Fast Response Team) equipment and an EMRS (Emergency Medical Rescue Services) unit.

On top of that, the drivers of both lorries involved in the incident fortunately only sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. After securing the scene and ensuring no further risks, rescue personnel handed over the remains of the deceased to the Royal Malaysian Police Force (PDRM) for further action and investigation.

With this, we here at DSF want to remind all our readers to always buckle up, no matter what. Crashes like this happen all too often, but they never have to be fatal. In fact, this crash may have been very different had the Myvi driver simply buckled up. So, please, we urge you to always wear your seat belt as soon as you get in the car.
