The vehicle’s exterior styling is accentuated by its ‘Gate of Space’ rear design and an exposed spare tire that reinforces its off-road character. Towing capacity for the 4WD version is rated at 1,600 kg.

Inside, the G318 boasts a premium feel with suede upholstery, metal accents, and three color themes, namely, Dense Forest Black, Glacier Blue and Holy Lake Green. Key features include a dual-screen setup (10.25-inch digital cluster and 14.6-inch central display), a flat-folding front seat bed configuration, 818–1747 L trunk capacity, and 31 interior storage compartments.

On top of that, it supports advanced connectivity and comfort features like voice recognition, wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated front seats, and Level 2 ADAS. Powering the SUV is a range-extended hybrid system built around a 1.5T engine making 150hp paired to either one or two electric motors, supported by the Golden Bell Battery 2.0.

It also sports a top speed of 175km/h and a total CLTC driving range of up to 1,000km. Battery charging from 30 to 80 percent takes just 30 minutes. The 2WD variant produces up to 248hp, while the 4WD variant delivers a robust 424hp and 572Nm of torque.

Drivers also benefit from 16 driving modes tailored for various terrains and situations, including off-road and energy-saving settings. With its competitive pricing, rugged specs and tech-rich interior, will Changan and Bermaz consider launching the Deepal G318 in Malaysia by 2026?
