Farizon Auto manufacturers electric commercial vehicles
Farizon Auto (Farizon) is a producer of electric commercial vehicles and a sub-brand of Geely Holding Group.
They have recently confirmed key markets for global expansion, focusing first on the European and MENA (Middle-East and North Africa) regions, followed by APAC (Asia-Pacific).
This strategic move was highlighted at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ZF Friedrichshafen AG (ZF), a global technology company, at the IAA Transportation 2024.
We now get ‘wind’ that Farizon will be introduced in Malaysia in a few months and the question is this, will it be part of Proton (like with the Geely made SUV’s and electric vehicle) or will it come independently?
Well, from our early investigations, it seems that Farizon will not be part of the Proton family and Farizon will be working with another parther.

Still, things could change closer to date as we have seen with other Chinese auto manufacturers in the last year in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, as part of its global expansion, Farizon has launched the Farizon SuperVAN in selected European markets, including Türkiye, Serbia, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and CEE (Central and Eastern European) countries.
The SuperVAN which will be the first model for Malaysia offers the largest space in its class and is the world’s first commercial vehicle to adopt the Drive-by-Wire intelligent architecture.

The Farizon SuperVan has been sold in the Chinese market in multiple body forms, which include short and long wheelbase options, as well as high and low roof models, to meet user demands for unique electric commercial vehicles.
So who will be its rivals in Malaysia. Well, for now it seems that only SAIC (Maxus Vans) and BYD have direct competing models and we are sure Farizon will attract a new segment of customers with its smart looks and highly customizable multiple powertrain options, including pure electric, battery-swapping, NordThor Power (hybrid) and methanol range-extender. Users can thus enjoy worry-free travel experience according to their local charging infrastructure condition.

The most popular model in Europe is the base model with a 67 kWh or an 83 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, with a 106 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery available for the L3 H3 model.
One efficient, all-electric powertrain is available which produces 170 kW (231 PS) of power and 336 Nm of torque.
It has an electric range of up to 247 miles and rapid charging from 20-80 percent in just 36 minutes.
