GAC Aion Hyptec HT was first shown with gullwing doors at KLIMS 2024
Already on sale in Singapore and taking the rivals to task, this ultra-modern looking electric SUV will be in Malaysian showrooms soon. The recent press unveiling at the Malaysian Autoshow confirmed its showroom sales start in 2025.
GAC Aion Hyptec HT is a fully electric crossover EV with a rear-mounted motor producing 340 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds.
It features an 83 kWh LFP battery providing a range of over 600 km (NEDC). The Hyptec HT is equipped with features like a 22-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system and first-class seats with a foldable table.
This Hyptec HT has a generous 1,035mm-worth of legroom and a full flat floor. There is a large 672-litre boot that can accommodate golf bags, or bicycles and even luggage for 4 adults with ease, with extra storage underneath too for items that need to be kept further out of sight.

It is scheduled to be launched in Malaysia in the third quarter of 2025. We guesstimate a selling price of RM178k or so for this version. Right now it is selling in Thailand for about RM188k and in Indonesia for about RM190k.
