Porsche has made unforgettable memories and more for fans in Malaysia
Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (Auto Performance), ignites the Malaysian leg of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2025 at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, featuring Rounds 5, 6, and 7 of the championship. This iconic event remains a highlight on the regional motorsport calendar, drawing fans for a weekend.

“Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is more than just motorsport – it’s a celebration of community and racing culture,” said Christopher Hunter, CEO of Auto Performance. “Motorsport is in our DNA, and we’re proud to support local and regional talents both on the track and in the virtual space.”
Moreover, now in its 22nd season, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is the region’s premier one-make racing series. The Sepang stop represents a critical midpoint in the season, as drivers battle it out in three races over one weekend. Competing in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars, the field guarantees thrilling, closely matched action on Sepang’s 5.543-kilometre circuit.

A key highlight is the return of the endurance race. Sime Motors Racing will represent Malaysia with two cars: #17, driven by local racer Nazim Azman, and #38, piloted by British driver Hugo Ellis, a podium finisher in Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain. Both aim for strong finishes on home turf, cheered on by Malaysian fans.
On top of that, parallel to the on-track excitement, the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia 2025 will also culminate during the race weekend. Top sim racers in three categories, specifically Junior Dreamers, Young Dreamers and Driven Dreamers, will compete on a virtual version of the Sepang Circuit in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) setups.

Adding to the weekend spectacle is the display of the Porsche 963 LMDh race car replica. This cutting-edge endurance machine, which competes in prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Daytona, showcases Porsche’s engineering excellence that is so well known all across the globe.

Powered by a hybrid system featuring a 4.6-litre twin-turbo V8 and electric components from Bosch and Williams Advanced Engineering, the 963 produces 670hp at 10,000 RPM, combining aerodynamics, hybrid tech and a lightweight chassis to embody the future of endurance racing. In short, it was truly an unforgettable weekend.
