Leaked Toyota Yaris Cross Price List Confirms Sub-RM100K Price & Hybrid Option

The Toyota Yaris Cross price list may confirm a hybrid option for Malaysia.

Update: The Hybrid variant has been confirmed on the official website.

The automotive market in Malaysia has been set abuzz with the leak of an estimated price list for the highly anticipated Toyota Yaris Cross, effective from 23rd April 2026. This leak provides the first official look at the positioning of Toyota Malaysia’s newest B-segment SUV, particularly in relation to its close relative, the Perodua Traz.

2026 Toyota Yaris Cross Leaked Pricing

According to the leaked document, the Yaris Cross will be offered in two distinct variants in Peninsular Malaysia:

VariantEngineOn-The-Road Price (w/o Insurance)
Toyota Yaris Cross 1.5S1,496 cc PetrolRM 99,900.00
Toyota Yaris Cross 1.5S HEV1,496 cc HybridRM 109,900.00

The pricing includes standard fees such as a RM 120 road tax and a RM 150 registration fee. Notably, the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) variant carries a RM 10,000 premium over the standard petrol model. Colour options include: Dark Turquoise, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, Spicy Scarlet SE, Platinum Pearl White.

Toyota Yaris Cross vs. Perodua Traz: Price Comparison

The leak confirms that Toyota is positioning the Yaris Cross as a premium alternative to the Perodua Traz. While both vehicles share the same basic platform and a 2,620 mm wheelbase, their market segments are clearly defined by their price tags:

  • Entry-Level Gap: The Perodua Traz starts at just RM 76,100 for the 1.5L X variant. This makes the base Toyota Yaris Cross roughly RM 23,800 more expensive than the entry-level Traz.
  • Top-Spec Comparison: The range-topping Perodua Traz 1.5L H (2-tone) is priced at RM 82,000. Even at this level, the Traz remains nearly RM 18,000 cheaper than the most affordable Yaris Cross.
  • The Hybrid Factor: One of the most significant differences is the 1.5S HEV variant. Currently, the Perodua Traz does not offer a hybrid powertrain in its Malaysian lineup, leaving the RM 109,900 Yaris Cross HEV as the sole choice for buyers seeking Toyota’s latest electrification technology in this body style.
