PRO-NET has moved 20,000 new energy vehicles and registered 1,000 e.MAS 7 PHEVs.
PRO-NET, the new energy arm of national carmaker PROTON, has achieved a monumental milestone with more than 20,000 Proton e.MAS vehicles now actively driving on Malaysian roads. This rapid adoption signifies considerable progress in the brand’s acceleration of sustainable electric mobility nationwide.

The PHEV Leader: Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV
The stellar performance is driven heavily by strong demand for the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, which has officially emerged as Malaysia’s best-selling plug-in hybrid model in 2026 year-to-date.

Key milestones for the flagship PHEV include:
- Market Reception: The model has accumulated more than 6,500 bookings within just a couple of months since its early February launch.
- Monthly Registrations: In April 2026 alone, the e.MAS 7 PHEV recorded 1,013 registrations.
- Segment Leadership: Cumulative year-to-date registrations for the PHEV variant have reached 1,755 units, cementing its leadership position in the segment.
Unpacking the Numbers: 20,509 Cumulative Registrations
Overall, the Proton e.MAS sub-brand has secured a total of 20,509 cumulative registrations year-to-date in 2026. The breakdown reveals balanced customer interest across its versatile new energy lineup:
- Proton e.MAS 7 (BEV): 10,067 units
- Proton e.MAS 5 (BEV): 8,687 units
- Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV: 1,755 units
“Surpassing the 20,000-unit milestone reflects the strong trust Malaysian customers have placed in Proton e.MAS,” stated Mr. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET. “More importantly, it indicates a clear shift in Malaysia, where more drivers are embracing electrified mobility with confidence.”

Strengthening the Nationwide Network
To support this exponentially growing customer base, PRO-NET is continuously heavily investing in infrastructure. The brand is aggressively expanding its dealership network, public charging ecosystem, and specialized aftersales infrastructure nationwide.

This robust support frame ensures that every e:MAS owner enjoys premium peace of mind, reliable part availability, and expert mechanical servicing throughout their ownership transition.
As Malaysia moves closer to its national green energy goals, Proton e.MAS continues to lead the charge, proving that alternative-powertrain vehicles are no longer a niche project but a core pillar of modern Malaysian transport.
