The Xiaomi SU7 remains exclusive to only Left-Hand Drive production for China for now, with global market rollouts targeted for later down the road (some say late 2026). Xiaomi’s management is focused on the domestic china market as demand continues to rise and Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun and executive leadership have mentioned in press events that the company’s current primary focus is satisfying massive domestic demand in China before expanding overseas.
Xiaomi’s official stance for rolling out its EV lineup (including the SU7 and the YU7 SUV) to international markets targets 2027 and we have seen their request for Government liaison officer for Malaysia recently.
Previous Malaysia Showcase Xiaomi brought a Left-Hand Drive SU7 Max to Malaysia for a public tech showcase at Suria KLCC. However, that was strictly a brand and ecosystem showcase (alongside the launch of their smartphones) rather than a local product launch.
