Meet The Czinger 21C, The Fastest Road-Legal Vehicle To Date

The Czinger 21C is not just the fastest car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed is always a huge event for many reasons, this time the Czinger 21C made headlines not just as the fastest production car at the event, but as the fastest road-legal vehicle ever to take on the iconic hill climb. This groundbreaking performance marked a major milestone for Czinger and its parent company, Divergent Technologies.

The Czinger 21C is now officially in production and stands as the first model in a planned series of ultra-high-performance vehicles from the California-based automaker. Limited to just 80 units, this hypercar blends extreme speed with legal road use, offering a unique combination of track-ready performance and everyday driveability.

Moreover, according to Lukas Czinger, CEO of Divergent, the 21C is not just a race car, it’s fully homologated for public roads, making it a rare fusion of street legality and motorsport engineering. In terms of performance, the Czinger 21C is nothing short of extraordinary. It completes the century sprint in just two seconds, making it one of the quickest cars ever made.

At Goodwood, it shattered the hill climb record for production cars, solidifying its reputation as a next-generation hypercar. The vehicle’s incredible speed and agility are a direct result of advanced engineering and innovative manufacturing methods. One of the key technological highlights of the Czinger 21C is its use of additive manufacturing, known as 3D printing.

On top of that, parts of the car’s structure were developed using this advanced production technique, allowing for lighter weight, increased strength and greater design flexibility. This approach not only sets Czinger apart from traditional automakers but also represents a glimpse into the future of vehicle manufacturing.

The Czinger 21C features a hybrid powertrain that combines a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor system, delivering over 1,200hp. This immense power, paired with cutting-edge aerodynamics and a central seating position reminiscent of Formula 1, makes the 21C one of the most radical cars available today.

With only 80 units being built, the Czinger 21C is a limited-edition masterpiece designed for collectors, enthusiasts, and speed aficionados alike. As Lukas Czinger puts it, the 21C is “the fastest hypercar in the world,” a claim backed not just by numbers, but by record-setting real-world performance.
