Ferrari Secures Historic Hat-Trick Victory At The 2025 24 Hours Of Le Mans

The AF Corse team achieved this landmark win for Ferrari at Le Mans

Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson secured a dramatic win at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, clinching Ferrari’s third consecutive victory and twelfth overall. Driving the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P, they became the first customer team to win Le Mans in 20 years, outpacing factory efforts from Porsche and Ferrari itself in Round 4 of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The trio also made personal history as Kubica became the first Polish driver to win overall, Ye the first Chinese, and Hanson helped elevate Great Britain to a record 46 total driver wins at the event. Porsche Penske Motorsport’s #6 car came closest, finishing just 14 seconds behind, while Ferrari’s #51 entries salvaged third despite late setbacks.

Moreover, the #50 Ferrari took fourth, and Cadillac’s #12 Hertz Team JOTA completed the top five after struggling with tire performance in cooler conditions. Toyota’s #8 GR010 Hybrid briefly threatened the leaders but a mechanical failure dashed hopes, leaving them 16th.

Meanwhile, in LMP2, Inter Europol Competition repeated its 2023 triumph with the #43 ORECA. Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann, and Nick Yelloly overcame a late drive-through penalty to retake the lead from Panis Racing’s #48 in the final 15 minutes.

The LMP2 Pro/Am win went to the #199 AO by TF team (“Spike”), with strong stints from PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron, and Louis Deletraz. The #28 IDEC Sport car’s podium hopes ended when a sheared wheel nut sent it into the gravel.

On top of that, in LMGT3, the #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm Porsche dominated from start to finish. Drivers Ryan Hardwick, Riccardo Pera, and Richard Lietz delivered a near-flawless race. The #21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari took second, while TF Sport’s #81 Corvette snatched third from the Heart of Racing Aston Martin in the final hours.

Mechanical issues and incidents sidelined many, including both United Autosports McLarens, the #78 Lexus, and Cadillac Whelen’s #311. The fastest lap belonged to Sébastien Bourdais in the #38 Cadillac at 3:26.063.
