About 500 electric taxis from Green GSM, powered by Vietnam’s VinFast, were officially launched in Davao City on December 15. The rollout marks a major milestone in the city’s push toward modern, sustainable, and clean transportation.
The new e-taxis are expected to feature long range batteries, fast charging capability, and quiet, zero emission performance. VinFast’s compact electric models, similar to the VF 5 and VF 6, can travel up to 380 kilometers per charge, offering efficiency and comfort for both drivers and passengers.
Building on the earlier launch of Maligaya E Taxis in September, the Green GSM fleet strengthens Davao’s leadership in future ready mobility in Mindanao. This expansion supports reduced emissions, improved passenger experience, and the city’s long term vision for an inclusive and eco friendly public transport system.
