Perodua closes 2025 with record-breaking performance.
Perodua has done it again. The national carmaker has officially closed 2025 with another record-breaking performance, solidifying its dominance with an estimated 43.9% market share and surpassing its own high benchmarks set the previous year.

In a media announcement today, Perodua revealed that it sold a staggering 359,904 vehicles in 2025, a 0.5% increase from 2024. Production also hit an all-time high of 370,370 units, ensuring that supply continues to meet the voracious demand of Malaysian buyers.
The Bezza is Unstoppable
While the entire lineup performed well, one model stood above the rest. For the second consecutive year, the Perodua Bezza has broken the six-figure barrier, with 100,488 units sold in 2025.

This achievement cements the Bezza’s status as Malaysia’s favourite sedan, fending off stiff competition with its unbeatable value proposition.

It wasn’t just the Bezza doing the heavy lifting. The Perodua Axia secured the second spot with 84,291 units, followed closely by the iconic Perodua Myvi at 72,724 units. Together, these three models remained the top three best-selling vehicles in the entire country.
2026 Outlook: Enter the QV-E and Traz
Perodua isn’t resting on its laurels. Perodua President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, hinted that the best is yet to come. He noted that the full sales impact of the recently launched QV-E and Traz models will effectively kick in during 2026.

With these new offerings—likely targeting the electric and lifestyle utility segments—Perodua is poised to maintain its momentum in a market that it expects to reach a Total Industry Volume (TIV) of 820,000 units for 2025.

A RM11 Billion Boost for Malaysia
Beyond selling cars, Perodua continues to be a massive engine for the local economy. In 2025 alone, the carmaker purchased RM11 billion worth of parts from local vendors.
“We will continue to play our role as nation builders as we further invest in Malaysia and its people by expanding our businesses, especially in the realm of electric vehicles as well as digital offerings,” said Dato’ Sri Zainal.

This commitment has allowed local suppliers to modernize their operations, expand workforces, and even venture into international markets, proving that Perodua’s success is a shared victory for the entire Malaysian automotive ecosystem.
