The Renault Filante is a collab between the company’s French and South Korean teams with a Geely chassis.
The all-new Renault Filante has officially arrived as the spearhead of Renault’s “2027 International Game Plan,” marking a bold re-entry into the global premium E-segment. Designed through a collaboration between the Renault Technocentre in France and the Renault Design Center Seoul, the Filante is a daring crossover that blends the elegance of a premium saloon with the commanding presence of an SUV.

Scheduled for a phased global rollout starting in South Korea in March 2026, followed by Latin America and the Gulf States in early 2027, the Filante is more than just a car—it is a manifesto of Renault’s premium heritage and future-facing innovation.

A Heritage of Speed and Prestige
The name “Filante” carries deep historical significance. It pays homage to the Étoile Filante, the legendary 1956 prototype that shattered speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats. More recently, the Renault Filante Record 2025 electric concept set a new benchmark for efficiency, covering 1,008 km in under 10 hours.

By reviving the “Star” (Étoile) symbol—once used to identify Renault’s most prestigious models in the 1930s—the Filante reasserts Renault’s presence in the international premium market.
Exterior: The “Genre-Crossing” Crossover
Renault Filante breaks away from traditional three-box saloon designs, adopting a “genre-crossing” aesthetic. Its generous dimensions—4,915 mm long and 1,890 mm wide—project performance and robust strength.

- Front Identity: The front end features a 3D diamond-pattern grille with an illuminated signature. The LED headlamps include a DRL signature set at a 28° angle, a direct nod to the geometry of the Renault logo.
- Athletic Profile: Large 19-inch or 20-inch wheels anchor the vehicle, while a taut roofline and “muscled” sculpted lines give it a coupé-like silhouette.
- Aerodynamic Stern: The rear features ultra-slim LED lights and a suspended spoiler, emphasizing the vehicle’s athletic readiness.
Interior: The OpenR Panorama Living Space
The interior of the Renault Filante is designed as a “living space,” prioritizing first-class comfort and high-tech immersion.

- OpenR Panorama Screen: The cockpit features three seamless 12.3-inch panoramic screens covering the instrument cluster, central display, and a dedicated passenger screen. This is supported by a massive 25.6-inch augmented reality head-up display.
- Lounge Comfort: With a 2,820 mm wheelbase, rear passengers enjoy best-in-class knee room of 320 mm. The cabin is further enhanced by one of the largest fixed sunroofs in its class (1.1 m²).
- Premium Finishes: The Esprit Alpine trim offers blue-white-red stitching and backlit Alpine signatures on the seats, while the Techno version uses Dark Blue grained TEP for a premium feel.

Full Hybrid E-Tech 250: Class-Leading Performance
Developed on the proven GEELY CMA platform, the Filante debuts the Full Hybrid E-Tech 250 powertrain, designed specifically for premium performance.
- Power & Torque: Combining a 1.5L turbocharged engine with dual electric motors, it delivers a total of 250 ps and up to 565 Nm of torque.
- Efficiency: The system favors electric driving, allowing the car to remain in all-electric mode up to 75% of the time in city driving.
- Smooth Handling: A Multimode Auto gearbox ensures imperceptible shifts, while the multi-link rear suspension provides superior damping and stability.

Advanced Safety and Connectivity
Renault’s Human First Program ensures that the Filante is equipped with over 30 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including:
- Active Driver Assist: Level 2 autonomous driving.
- 360° 3D Camera & Clearview: A “transparent chassis” view for full visibility of the underbody.
- Child Presence Detection: A new alarm system using interior roof sensors to scan for occupants.
- A-DoT Auto: An intelligent voice assistant capable of natural conversation and route recommendations.

The Renault Filante represents the ultimate balance of style, efficiency, and performance, signaling Renault’s ambition to become a leader in the global premium automotive landscape by 2027.
