Recently there were leaked spy photos of the face-lifted Porsche Panamera undergoing testing at the Nürburgring reveal multiple updates to both its interior and exterior. (we cannot share the pictures here as it is restricted for now).
Inside, the center console has abandoned the iconic physical HVAC control dials in favour of touchscreen operation, bringing the total number of screens in the cabin to four.
The air vent layout remains unchanged from the current model and does not adopt the Cayenne’s design featuring vents above the central display, underscoring that the Panamera retains a unique interior architecture.
Externally, although the test vehicles were heavily camouflaged, their headlights, front bumper, and radar components have already been refined.
Both test cars feature a charging port on the left side of the body, confirming they are plug-in hybrid variants. Differences are also evident in the rear exhaust configurations: the version with square-shaped tailpipes likely corresponds to the high-performance Turbo-series hybrid models, while the quad-round-exit setup suggests a GTS variant, hinting that this trim may now be offered with a hybrid powertrain for the first time.
In terms of powertrains, the current Panamera lineup ranges from a 348-horsepower V6 petrol powered model to a top-tier plug-in hybrid producing 771 horsepower. Specific details about the updated model’s powertrains have not yet been disclosed, but Porsche is expected to carry over the existing engine portfolio which arrived in Malaysia in 2021.
