Bosch Welcomes 600 Partners To Their Yokoso Event 2010

On the 11th of December, some 600 workshop, spare parts and wholesale car parts and accessories owners were invited and welcomed to a event and dinner at the Genting Resorts World hotel to get a closer and better insight into the next generation of Bosch products and accessories for the ASEAN made and sold automobiles. Bosch has been and is still well known in the Malaysian automotive market for the manufacturer of parts for European automobiles. Bosch however in recent years have widen their product portfolio with extensive research and development to produce high quality parts for ASEAN made cars which have also started moving into markets outside of ASEAN.
This event showcased their extensive range of workshop diagnostic and equipment for the ASEAN automobiles and also the wide range of parts like filters (petrol and diesel), bulbs, horns, automotive belts and more.

Also in the showcase were their extensive range of car batteries (including ‘Green’ maintenance free batteries), wiper blades, spark plugs and headlamps.

Guests were also treated to a lavish dinner and a lucky draw where the top prizes were a Perodua Alza, Viva and scooters. This event is in its 6th successive year with its significant sales turnover having increased and being the highest since.

Reasons why Bosch is pushing its automotive aftermarket lineup aggressively is simply because the number of passenger cars on the road in Malaysia continues to grow rapidly where we expect to see an industry total volume of 560,000 for 2010.

An increased focus will continue to be targeted on ASEAN cars which now constitute to well over 90% of total cars sold in Malaysia (Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Ford, Mercedes, Suzuki, Hyundai, Geely, Jin Bei and Proton to name a few). The Bosch product marketing team’s priority focuses on mainly the Malaysian/Japanese/Korean/Chinese parts program.
Bosch is also looking to push ahead and reach out and expand their products and services even into the workshop level as they continue to partner with local workshops to become fully operational Bosch service centers, including Bosch diesel service centers that cater primarily to the growing private diesel car ownership.
