Can The Police Fine You For Tinted Windows?

Yesterday I was informed that the police ‘cannot’ stop and fine you for having tinted windows that is too dark (JPJ and Puspakom can)…….unless they have a tint measurement device with them. However many Malaysian motorists have been stopped and forced to pay up (either way….you know what I mean) at road blocks or during random checking for road tax expiry or what ever else.

Take note that without a tint measuring device, the police have no reason to fine you or question the darkness of your window tint. Also please note that there are many many many so called tint experts out there who claim to have UV rated tint film………and charge you an arm and a leg for simple ‘no quality tint film’ coming from Korea and China whilst claiming their tint is from USA and Japan. Please ensure you get advise from us before parting with your hard earned money for cheap ‘book wrappers’ that they call tint which is what most shops will give you.

Buy from an established name with a proper warranty. Most shop warranties are fake and useless and when they move or close shop the warranty ends. Even some car manufacturers are selling fake tint to new car buyers who don’t do their research.
