Castrol Magnatec in nationwide campaign
Castrol, the world’s leading lubricant specialist, kicks off its latest campaign; “Instant Protection” by incorporating Augmented Reality technology in a nationwide campaign. This unique approach will integrate cutting-edge Augmented Reality technology to bring to life the Instant Protection that Castrol Magnatec offers against problems posed by start up engine wear in a fun & interactive way.
The campaign, designed to showcase the importance of Instant Protection and drives home the message that the problem of engine wear, which is caused by friction, happens mostly during start up. It will further showcase how Castrol Magnatec is always ready to provide an extra layer of protection with Intelligent Molecules that cling like magnets to vital engine parts at all times, when you need it the most – during warm up. This is particularly important when you consider that all conventional oils drain to the bottom of the sump when the engine is off, and that up to 75% of engine wear happens while your engine is warming up.Castrol Magnatec will kick start the campaign with a contest via an innovative online Augmented Reality game and a series of roadshows around Malaysia. Kicking off in Mid Valley Megamall on 16 – 19 June 2011, it will proceed to Gurney Plaza, Penang, on 1 – 3 July 2011, AEON Tebrau City Shopping Centre, Johor Bahru on 22 – 24 July 2011 before returning to One Utama Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur on the 11 – 14 of August 2011.
The campaign will also incorporate the Augmented Reality technology in an interactive online game contest via Facebook called the Castrol Magnatec Augmented Reality Monster game.
