Renaultsport 265 Trophy Will Be Very Limited
Just 500 units of this very special edition Renault will be produced and TC Eurokars will definitely need to import in a few units to fuel the thirst of local enthusiast. This Renaultsport 265 Trophy will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0 litre petrol engine with an impressive 265PS and 360Nm of torque available between 3000 and 5000RPM. The hot hatch achieves an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 191bhp per tonne.
Not just the engine has been worked on. The Renaultsport 265 Trophy gets 19” gloss black Speedline alloys with red rim fitted with high-performance Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres. The car boasts “Trophy” red decals on the F1-style front blade and doors, and LED daytime running lights. To keep the handling keener, stiffer springs, dampers and anti-roll bar and grooved brake discs are fitted. It also has a mechanical limited slip differential, Brembo brakes, as well as the innovative PerfoHub independent steering axis front suspension set-up, which virtually eliminates torque steer. All these upgrades makes this unique Megane a perfect road car suitable for time attack at racetracks. With both the VW Golf and Scirocco R models coming at the end of this year to Malaysia, only this Megane will be its direct rival.
