BMW E36 3 Series used buy for little money

The BMW 3 Series has led the way in the compact executive sector since the 80s with the evergreen E30. This time we are looking at its replacement, the 1992/3 E36. As with all German cars the 3 series comes with a general all-round ability to satisfy most owners. BMWs are considered highly desirable by most sections of the population, though most consider them a little expensive especially with Malaysian car tax structure for new cars. Their immense popularity and longevity means that they are a common sight on our roads. The E36 was a best seller for Auto Bavaria and a number of grey importers. The BMW 3-Series cars have taut little wedges with the muscularity one expects from a German sports car. They have a compact, purposeful presence that echoes their power and legendary engineering substance. The look of the interior is classically European. The gauges are BMW’s traditional round analog dials, with speedometer and tachometer front and center. Controls are all well placed and easy to use, once you decipher their purpose. There are a few other competitors that may offer a smoother ride and better quality, but they also isolate the driver more from the pleasure of sporty performance. A BMW never lets you forget that you’re in command of a real driving road machine as long as it is running well.
If you’re interested in buying a beautifully engineered and attractive sedan that gives you value for money and seats four adults comfortably, then look at a E36 3 Series. At almost RM18,000 for a 18 year old 318i to RM30,000 for a 328I this is a bargain if you have the available bank balance and a good mechanic to work on it. Take note that they rust when accident damage has not been rectified properly and their mechanicals don’t last when previous owners short of funds use junkyards parts to keep their E36 running.
